Storekeeper First Class Craig was listed as Missing in Action when the USS Oklahoma received multiple torpedo attacks. During this time, it caused the Oklahoma to quickly capsize, leading to the deaths of 429 crew members. At that time, Storekeeper First Class Craig’s remains were not recovered. However, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency disinterred remains from the National Memorial Cemetery and later identified the remains of Storekeeper First Class Craig will be buried later at a later date. Storekeeper First Class Craig’s name is permanently listed on the Courts of the Missing in the Honolulu Memorial in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.
