1SG Glen Harris of Bravo Company, 3rd Ranger Battalion survived the terrible battle of Mogadishu, Somalia – the Black Hawk Down battle – to later drown in the Chattahoochee River at Fort Benning, Georgia during a training exercise when his parachute landed in the river.
