Captain Todd Grossgebauer has retired after twenty-six years of dedicated service to the Provo Police Department. Captain Grossgebauer began his law enforcement career a Military Police Officer in 1989. He joined the Provo Police Department in 1992. Captain Grossgebauer spent three years as a sergeant, eight years as a lieutenant and the last four years as a captain. He was a member of the METRO SWAT Team for twenty-three years and the team commander for ten. He filled assignments as a School Resource Officer, Gang Officer, Narcotics Officer, Warrants Officer, Robbery/Homicide Detective Sergeant, Patrol Division Watch Commander, and he served as the lieutenant and later the captain in the Operational Support Services Division and Special Operations Division.

For 21 years Captain Grossgebauer has been an instructor for Utah Valley University in the Law Enforcement Academy where he mentored hundreds of new officers. Captain Grossgebauer truly made his mark on the Provo Police Department and we will miss him here. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
