Glendal Bunker


Air Force, 1953-1957

Bunker enlisted in the Air Force while living in St. George, UT at age 17. He went to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX for a few months. He then went to Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Illinois where he completed training. After a short trip back on leave, Bunker went to North Africa, French Morocco, just outside of Casablanca. He spent 19 months on a flight crew and he served as a Crew Chief. He flew all over Europe as well as North Africa. He then went to Mountain Home AFB in Idaho where he was honorably discharged.
